Incident at Lloydminster, AB

Summary

1999-02-12: The pilot of C-FBBR, a Piper Navajo, was on approach to Lloydminster after a flight from City Centre Airport when he advised that the a/c had a gear problem. The pilot subsequently lowered the gear manually and landed safely at 0755Z, with ERS on standby. OPI - Maintenance and Manufacturing UPDATE M. & M. reported that the owner's AMO discovered that the hydraulic reservoir was low on fluid. The sight level on the reservoir had been stained over the years, giving the impression that the reservoir was full. The system was serviced and the gear tested. The a/c is currently in Calgary undergoing maintenance.
