Accident at Churchill, MB


1999-02-02: C-FYZS, a Pilatus PC-12, landed at Churchill after a flight from Rankin Inlet with 8 people on board and the pilot taxied to the apron, made a 180 degree turn and proceded to skid into the side of the Terminal building just below the Tower cab. It is reported that the a/c has extensive damage to the propeller and damage to the left wing. There were no injuries to the occupants of the a/c or personnel on the ground. Damage to the Terminal building is described as moderate, affecting the siding and shiplap board on the southwest corner of the Terminal/hangar. OPI - System Safety
