Incident at CALGARY INTL AB (CYYC)

Summary

1999-01-27: The aircraft departed Heathrow enroute Calgary with a crew of 11 and 180 passengers onboard. Shortly after departure the crew noted the smell of rubber and suspected it may have been caused by a blown nosewheel tire. The crew advised company maintenance facilities while enroute that the smell continued in the area of the forward galley/cockpit. On approach to Calgary ERS was requested, the crew were aware that number 3 thrust reverser was inoperative as per the MEL. The landing was uneventful , there was no damage to the nosewheel and company maintenance is investigating the source of the smell. Update to follow. OPI - Maintenance & Manufacturing.
