Incident at CALGARY INTL AB (CYYC)

Summary

1999-02-17: The crew of CDR 2002, a DHC-8, landed on Runway 34 at Calgary after a flight from Edmonton with 28 people on board. The crew was instructed to exit on Charlie 1 Taxiway, and after doing so, then turned back toward the runway. ACA 289, a DC-9, which had been cleared for takeoff on Runway 34 behind CDR 2002, was instructed to abort the takeoff. ACA 289 came to a stop south of C1 Taxiway. The crew of CDR 2002 reported that because the visibility was poor, they had difficulty seeing the centreline of the taxiway and were hesitant to turn onto the taxiway.
