Incident at Yellowknife, NT


1999-01-13: PLR 509, a BAe 31 Jetstream, was on approach to Runway 33 at Yellowknife when the crew reported an unsafe gear indication. They overshot the runway and apparently were able to rectify the problem, as the flight landed safely at 0005Z with ERS on standby. One other a/c was delayed for about 5 minutes during the occurrence. OPI - Maintenance and Manufacturing UPDATE M. & M. reported that company maintenance found that the nose gear down lock microswitch had failed. An SDR has been requested from the company.
