Incident at Winnipeg, MB

Summary

1999-01-08: Raven 4, a CT-114 Tutor, was on a local IFR traing flight with two pilots when they reported on final for Runway 18 at Winnipeg that they had received an unsafe indication for the right main gear. They elected to carry out a fly-past of the Tower and it appeared that the gear was fully down. The pilot of another military a/c in the circuit, Zulu 1, a CF-5, joined up on Raven 4 and observed that the gear was down. Raven 4 landed without incident at 2037Z with ERS on standby and taxied to the military apron. OPI - System Safety
