Incident at Winnipeg, MB

Summary

1999-01-04: C-GRYO, a B757, was being marshalled to Gate 10 at Winnipeg to deplane the passengers. The swing arm of the bridge had been swung into position, but had apparently not locked and was out of position as the a/c moved forward to park. The a/c was aligned closer to the bridge and moved more forward than is usual, causing the top of the left engine nacelle to contact the bridge structure. The minor collision caused a five-inch diameter dent in the top of the cowling. OPI - System Safety
