Incident at Wabush NF

Summary

2000-01-07: CME106 PA31 taxiied for IFR departure at 0020z. Aircraft advised returning to the ramp. FSS observed one Engine Shutdown on the right side of the aircraft. Pilot advised the Ice Crystals in the fuel had caused a power loss. No other impact on airport operations. TSB Case Closed. Update: During run up with an extremely cold engine it backfired and the pilot shut it down and taxied back to the ramp area.
