Incident at Deer Lake NF


1999-10-28: ARN830 DH8 landing Deer Lake reported Oil Pressure Problem 15 minutes prior to landing. Flight requested Emergency Response Services on Stand by. Flight landed without further incident. TSB evaluating. Update: Approximately 120 miles West of Deer Lake the # 1 engine Oil Pressure Annunciator started to flicker. The crew secured the engine, advised ATC of the situation and requested ERS on standby for the landing. Maintenance changed the # 1 Prop Oil Seal, carried out an engine ground run up and returned the aircraft to service. Note occurrence date Oct 26/99. TSB file # A99A0151
