Incident at Stanley NS

Summary

1999-10-21: 3 aircraft were inbound to Stanley for landings on runway 27 and 33. The aircraft were in contact with each other and traffic information was being exchanged on 122.8. CFKEV a KR2 was in the process of touching down on runway 33 when the pilot observed a PA28 in very close proximity pulling up to avoid collision. The PA28 was on the wrong frequency and was not using the proper runway joining proecedures. After landing, a passenger on board the incident aircraft CFRTV PA28, asked if the Frequency for Stanley was 122.2. The pilot of CFKEV responded negative it is 122.8 The pilot of CFRTV remianed in the aircraft until a vehicle arrived to pick them up. Note Occurrence date Oct 10/99. Nil TSB
