Incident at Sydney

Summary

1999-10-19: CME407 BE99 reported smoke in the cockpit shortly after departure and declared an emergency. Aircraft was vectored for runway 19 and landed safely. Update: Maintenance discovered water had leaked into the circuit breaker panel. The aircraft had been outside during an extended period of heavy rain. The problem is being investigated further by the operator Maintenance department. TSB file # A99A0142.
