Summary

1999-09-29: AAL121 B767 FL390 enroute London to Boston reported the loss of number one engine when approximately 50 nm South East of Sydney. Aircraft was cleared to FL250 and diverted to Gander. Nil assistance or emergency. Flight landed Gander 1630z. TSB evaluating. Update: Shutdown # 1 engine as a result of an Oil Filter "EICAS" message and Low Oil Pressure indication.
