Incident at GANDER INTL NL (CYQX)

Summary

1999-07-29: PAC617 B747 landing runway 04 at Gander when tower reported aircraft was very "Hot" (fast) on Roll out and went through the intersection of Runway 31 still moving fast with black smoke and fire coming from a port engine. The crash alarm was activated and ERS responded. The aircraft managed to stop at the very end of the runway and advised that no assistance was required. TSB evaluating
