Incident at Gander Oceanic

1999-07-05: DAL82 B767 and AOM629 DC10 both Eastbound at FL330 on adjacent NAT Tracks. At 0428z AOM629 made initial position report with Gander OCA at 47N 50W estimating 60 NM North of cleared track at 30W. At 0431z Gander queried discrepancy and pilot confirmed same. At 0434z AOM629 was cleared on correct routing. Required separation was 60 NM lateral or 15 minutes longitudinal. Separation degraded to 50 NM and 9 minutes longitudinal. TSB Case Closed.
