Incident at Gander Domestic

Summary

1999-06-29: DLH8150 B747 enroute Frankfurt to New-York operating on cleared route " OYSTR STEAM " at 32,000 feet, reported each waypoint in accordance with the cleared route. Aircraft was however observed on radar routing via " CARPE " intersection which represented a 60 nautical mile deviation from cleared track. Crew apologized for error and was recleared via direct " TOPPS " as requested in flihght plan. Nil traffic. NIl TSB
