Accident at Havelock NB


1999-06-24: CFXUV amateur built KITFOX departing Havelock climbed to approximately 200 feet when the engine suddenly stopped. The aircraft attempted to return to the airport but entered a spin and clipped the top of trees before impacting the ground. The pilot sustained only minor injuries and was able to extract himself before the post crash fire erupted. The aircraft was destroyed by the fire. TSB case closed. TSB file # A99A0087.
