Incident at Sydney

Summary

1999-06-09: C-FYKQ PA-31 shutdown # 1 engine due to a bird strike on a visual approach to runway 19 in Sydney. Aircraft landed safely at 1706z. NIL TSB Update: Aircraft advised he required ERS and landed safely 1706z. Inspection of aircraft found spinner cover had come off right engine, disabling the engine and putting a hole in the body of the aircraft.
