Incident at Otter Creek Lab.

Summary

1999-06-09: CGBOL C185 Floats while undergoing maintenance had the ELT inadvertedly activated. RCC dispatched a Search and Rescue Technician from 444 Rescue SQDN who located the aircraft using a hand held ELT locator. Nil TSB Update: The ELT was installed in the aircraft on the occurrence day and set in the "Arm" position. A storm system had gone through the area accompanied by strong winds. The aircraft, which was sitting on a trailer, was rocked by the winds and the ELT was activated. The Operator reset the unit.
