Incident at Moncton NB

Summary

1999-05-03: MAL7062 B727 departing Moncton initiated a turn after incorrectly reading back the Controller's instructions. The Controller did not detect the Readback error and a loss of separation occurred with another aircraft in the circuit. Traffic was passed. The aircraft were 1.56 miles apart same altitude where 3 miles lateral or 1000 feet vertical is required. Weather was VFR. Nav Canada investigating. TSB case closed. File # A99A0059
