Incident at Gander Oceanic

Summary

1999-04-26: VIR006 B747 enroute Miami to London declared an Emergency due Low Fuel Temperature. Flight turned left and commenced a descent to FL340. Traffic was TAP1312 A310 at FL340. VIR006 was advised that FL350 was available. Emergency cancelled 0224z. Separation between VIR006 and TAP1312 was aprx 9 minutes longitudinal where 15 minutes was required. TSB evaluating.
