Incident at St. John's NF


1999-04-15: SPR912 BE20 landing St. Johns reported a Blown Tire on the right main landing gear. Stopped on runway with engines shutdown. Passengers disembarked on runway. Runway closed until repairs made. TSB evaluating. Update: Company advises they suspect problem occurred as a result of snow and slush being picked up in the wheel assemblies at point of departure and freezing in flight. All four main wheels and tires were replaced.
