1999-05-12: DAL B767-300 enroute Kennedy to Schiphol ( Amsterdam ) declared an emergency due to electrical smell in the cockpit. Executed contingency descent and cleared direct into Torbay. Aircraft landed at 0322Z. TSB Evaluating. Update: The aircraft landed St. John's without further incident. Delta maintenance crew inspected the aircraft, disabled the entertainment system and the aircraft has been ferried to Atlanta. Future information is expected from the company. TSB file A99A0044.
