Incident at MIRAMICHI NB (CYCH)

Summary

1999-02-22: ICN2290 ATR42 on the Ramp at Miramichi Airport was in the process of being unloaded when the aircraft moved forward and struck a baggage tractor. The pilot had acknowleged the "Ground Power Connect" signal and assumed the Chocks were in place and began to leave the cockpit but realized that the aircraft was moving. The brakes were re-applied but not before striking the tractor. The Aircraft skin was not pierced just scratched and dented. The flight was cancelled. Note occurrence date January 29/99.
