Incident at Moncton NB

Summary

1999-02-02: ARN820 DH8 IFR on a left hand visual approach to runway 29. Hunter21 VFR on a right hand approach to runway 29. The airport controller informed HUNTER21 it was number 2 and was instructed to follow ARN820. HUNTER21 turned on final in front of ARN820. ARN820 took evasive action. HUNTER21 was instructed to turn right. ARN820 landed safely 2220z. Recorded radar data indicated the spacing between the two aircraft was approximately 1500 to 2000 feet horizontal and 300 feet vertically. NIL TSB
