Incident at Sydney

Summary

1999-01-29: ARN814 DH8 Landing Sydney conducted a missed approach due to an unsafe Gear Indication. Flight landed safely 1553z. TSB evaluating. Update: The Master Caution Light, Rudder Pressure, # 2 hydraulic, Gear door light and landing gear (selector Handle) caution lights had illuminated during the first approach. The pilot recycled the landing gear, had three green indication, verified the hydraulic system pressure checked normal and landed the aircraft. The flight crew had no further incident to report with the landing gear system. Maintenance bled the # 2 hydraulic system and no air was found. TSB file # A99A0009
