Incident at Saint John NB (Aerodrome - runway or taxiway surface condition)

Summary

1999-01-18: ARN877 DH8 landing Saint John NB as flight was taxiing clear of runway became weather-cocked and was blown sideways back onto runway 05/23. Pilot advised that he was unable to control the aircraft on the ground and had to shutdown on the button of runway 23. Passengers were transported to the terminal via motor vehicles. All other runways and taxiways ,other than 05/23, were convered with water over ice. Airport was closed to all traffic. ICN2257 inbound to Saint John carried on to Montreal. Nil TSB
