Summary

1999-01-11: ACA861 B767 landing St. John's 1755z was not able to vacate runway due icy conditions and strong surface winds. Sand trucks were sent out. Aircraft was able to exit runway 1834z. Several departing aircraft were delayed and 1 aircraft was in a hold. Weather 1700Z: Wind 250 degrees at 25 gusting 44 knots. Visiblity 12 miles in light snow showers. Ceiling 3400 feet broken clouds. Temperature -8 Altimeter 2997. Nil TSB
