Accident at Otterhead, Ontario

Summary

1997-04-08: While taxiing downwind, the pilot turned the ski-equipped aircraft into the wind. during the turn, the aircrat tipped to the right and the right wing and right elevator struck the snow covered surface. Initial inspection revealed damage to the right wing spar. The wind at the time of the occurrence was reported as 270 degrees at 10 knots. Taxi speed was not know at the time of the occurrence. Two (2) S.O.B. - no injuries. Damage - substantial. From a TSB Initial Notification (#A97O0047).
