Incident at Cambridge Bay, NT

Summary

1997-12-29: CDN 446 was on approach into Cambridge Bay after a flight from Yellowknife with 4 crew and 6 passengers, when the crew encountered a hydraulic failure when they lowered flaps to 30 degrees. The a/c landed safely, but while taxiing to the terminal, the crew had some difficulty with steering. It was also reported that there was hydraulic fluid on the runway and taxiway from the system failure. More details to follow. OPI - Maintenance and Manufacturing
