Accident at Little Grand Rapids, MB


1997-12-23: C-GYXY, a ski-equipped C185, was taxiing on the ice strip near the townsite with 1 crew and 4 passengers, including an infant, for a departure to Winnipeg. During the ground maneuver to position for takeoff, the a/c was struck by a pickup truck driven by an unlicenced driver. There were no injuries, but the a/c sustained substantial damage to the left side of the fuselage and wing strut. An AME will travel to the site to determine the extent of the damage.
