Incident at Fort McMurray, AB


1997-12-17: C-GNAA was inbound to Fort McMurray with 2 crew, and on approach the crew advised FSS that they had an unsafe left gear indication. They requested CFR to be on standby and the municipal fire department responded as the a/c landed without incident. Maintenance later reported that the problem was a broken wire on the downswitch light. The wire was repaired, the gear swung and the a/c put back in service. OPI - System Safety
