Incident at Yellowknife, NT

Summary

1997-12-15: At 0220Z, the Yellowknife Tower staff were advised by the airport firehall staff that C-GJHW was inbound with a passenger who had suffered a heart attack. Priority handling was provided to the a/c, and on final approach, the crew informed Tower that they had received an unsafe gear indication. The crew carried out an overshoot, were able to resolve the problem with the gear, and landed without further incident at 0250Z. OPI - System Safety
