Incident at Regina, SK (Incursion - runway - animal)

Summary

1997-11-17: ACA 292 was on approach into Regina following a flight from Calgary, and the visibility at the time was about 11/2 miles in light snow, and the ceiling was 800 feet overcast. Tower staff observed a flock of geese flying west across the approach path of ACA 292, which was on final for Runway 31. Tower passed the information to the crew, because the possibility of collision appeared to be high, and when the crew saw the flock, they initiated a missed approach. OPI - System Safety
