Accident at Peace River, AB

Summary

1998-09-08: The pilot of C-FZPI was concluding a VFR flight from Two Hills and landing on Runway 22 at Peace River. The wind at the time was 240 degrees at 15 gusting to 20 knots. After touchdown, the pilot lost control of the a/c and it departed the left side of the runway surface, taking out two PAPI lights. The pilot was uninjured, but the a/c sustained damage to the propellor, leading edge of one wing, and the horizontal stabilizer.
