Incident at Villeneuve, AB

Summary

1997-10-23: The pilot of C-GVAY was on his first solo and in the circuit for Runway 16. On the first touch and go landing, the pilot lost control of the a/c and it departed the runway into the grass on the east side. The pilot then taxied the a/c back onto the runway surface, backtracked to the threshold of the runway and continued the circuits. There was no reported damage to the a/c or the airport property.
