Incident at Thompson, MB

Summary

1997-10-20: C-GSRL, a Cessna 402, was departing Thompson for South Indian Lake with a pilot and 3 passengers, when the pilot noticed that the right hand forward cargo door came open on climb-out. The pilot completed an abbreviated circuit and landed without further incident. The same door on the same a/c had come open on takeoff 3 days earlier (CADORS 97C0701) resulting in an aborted takeoff. Following the first incident, the door latch was checked and re-latched and the a/c dispatched. Following the second incident, the door latch was further adjusted.
