Incident at Calgary, AB

Summary

1997-10-15: ACA 292 departed Calgary for Regina, and about 80 miles west of Calgary, the crew informed ATC that they had an intermittent smoke alarm from the aft cargo hold. The Captain requested clearance back to Calgary and while enroute, also requested ERS be on standby. The crew discharged Halon into the cargo hold prior to landing. The a/c landed on Runway 28 at 1504Z and an inspection by ERS revealed no fire. The a/c taxied to the terminal and no other a/c were delayed by the incident.
