Incident at Winnipeg, MB

1997-10-10: C-GMOB was on an IFR flight to Red Lake, ON from Winnipeg (YWG) with 5 people on board. Because of bad weather at the destination, the pilot elected to divert back to Winnipeg. However, before departing the Red Lake area, the pilot discovered that he was unable to lower the landing gear. ERS were asked to be on standby as C-GMOB was en route back to Winnipeg. When the a/c was about 20 NM north of YWG, the pilot advised that he was able to lower the gear, and he landed the a/c without further incident. ERS were stood down, and no other a/c were inconvenienced.
