Incident at 45 NE of Calgary, AB

1997-11-04: ABK 931 was enroute from Calgary to Lloydminster, and was 45 miles northeast of Calgary when the crew informed ATC that they were making an emergency descent from FL 190 to 12,000 feet due to a pressurization problem. Shortly after making the descent, the pilot advised that the problem had been corrected, and he requested a clearance to continue the flight at 15,000 feet. The revised clearance was issued and ABK 931 arrived at Lloydminster without further incident. UPDATE The crew reported that the propellor circuit breaker had been pulled, and when re-set, pressurization was lost because the pressurization switch had been selected to the " dump " position.
