Incident at Yellowknife, NT

Summary

1997-10-07: FAB 843 was inbound to Yellowknife from Cambridge Bay, and the crew advised ATC that the a/c's flaps were unserviceable. CFR was on standby as FAB 843 landed at 2322Z without further incident. There were no delays to other a/c. More details to follow. UPDATE After takeoff from Cambridge Bay, the crew discovered that the a/c's flaps would not retract. After reaching a suitable altitude, the crew pulled the circuit breaker for the flaps and retracted them manually. The flight continued to destination where the crew carried out a flapless landing without incident.
