Incident at Winnipeg, MB

Summary

1997-09-29: ACA 144, with 134 people on board, was enroute from Vancouver to Montreal and about 100 miles east of Winnipeg when the crew advised ATC that there was a slight smell of smoke in the cockpit. The crew decided to divert to YWG, and the a/c landed without further incident at 1940Z. The Captain of the flight requested no CFR service, however CFR were consulted and they were put on standby.
