Incident at Iqaluit, NWT

Summary

1997-09-29: VIR 019 was about 350 miles northeast of Iqaluit, en route from Heathrow, UK to Los Angeles, when the crew advised ATC of a medical emergency on board the a/c. It was reported that a passenger had suffered a heart attack, so the crew decided to divert to Iqaluit. The hospital at Iqaluit was advised, and the a/c landed there without further incident at 1545Z.
