Incident at Calgary, AB

Summary

1997-09-26: N77HA was on a local VFR survey flight and on returning to the airport, the pilot reported an engine fire warning light had illuminated. He declared an emergency and landed without further incident with CFR on standby. Apparently, the fire warning was a false indication, because there was no evidence of a fire upon landing. More information will follow. UPDATE A post-flight examination of the engine confirmed that the fire warning was false.
