Incident at Calgary, AB

Summary

1997-09-08: ABL 851 was on approach to Runway 34 inside the Yankee NDB and reported a TCAS resolution advisory. The crew elected to go around, and after landing, the Captain was asked about the TCAS RA. He said his information showed traffic 200 feet below and just to the right of his a/c, less than a mile. Radar analysis showed a Cessna 172 about 1 1/2 miles away southbound, talking to ATC, or another a/c just touching down, but there was no potential for conflict.
