Incident at Iqaluit, NWT

1997-08-19: KBA 909, a Beechcraft Airliner, departed Iqaluit for Saglek, Labrador on a charter flight. Saglek is a military radar site that also provides a radar feed to Montreal Centre and Borek Air occasionally flies charters into the site which has an unmaintained runway. After departure, the crew of KBA 909 turned back to Iqaluit and informed Iqaluit FSS from 37 DME south that they were returning and requested CFR to be on standby. The a/c landed without further incident, and after being on the ground for about 1 hour, the a/c departed for Saglek once again. More details will follow.
