Incident at Vicinity of La Ronge, SK (Conflict - loss of separation)
1997-09-08: C-GCGQ, a Cessna 402, was enroute from Prince Albert to Cigar Lake at 6000 feet and established on the 165 degree radial of the La Ronge VOR. N111F, a Sabreliner, was descending from FL 240 to 17,000 feet and received and read back a further clearance to maintain 5000 feet, to make descent from 7000 feet to 5000 feet established on the 135 degree radial of the La Ronge VOR and to cross 20 DME at 5000 feet. The pilot was told that if he was unable to make his restriction, to maintain 7000 feet and advise the controller. About 6 minutes later, N111F reported intercepting the 135 degree radial at 21 DME and descending through 6700 feet. When reminded of his restrictions, the pilot of N111F cancelled his IFR flight plan.
