Accident at 20 SW of Ram Falls, AB


1997-08-18: C-GSRH was carrying out seismic operations in a mountainous area southwest of the Ram Falls airfield. The pilot, who was the only occupant of the helicopter, heard a loud bang which was followed by a power loss, resulting in a crash landing. The pilot was not injured and got out of the helicopter safely, but the helicopter subsequently caught fire and was destroyed. TSB investigators are attending the site and will provide more information.
