Accident at Carcross, YT (Aerodrome - runway or taxiway surface condition)


1997-08-05: C-GYPO was on a VFR flight from Whitehorse to Carcross with 2 people on board and landed at Carcross, but during landing, the a/c nosewheel dropped into a gopher hole. The propellor subsequently struck the ground, bending the tips, and, as the pilot suspects, seriously damaging the engine. No one was injured in the incident.
