Accident at Worsley, AB

Summary

1997-07-28: C-IEBC, an Astec ultralight, was spraying a field of canola, when a person who was acting as a ground marker at the other end of the field, observed the a/c come out of a turn and the right wing suddenly dropped. The a/c dove into the ground which caused substantial damage to the a/c and caused serious injuries to the pilot. The pilot is in hospital and will undergo surgery this week to correct lower extremity injuries. The a/c was carrying a load of chemical (type unknown) which was dispersed in the field.
