Incident at Edmonton, AB


1997-07-24: MAL 7049 was departing on a regularly scheduled cargo run from Edmonton International Airport for Calgary on Runway 02, when the a/c struck a gull. The crew were unaware of the bird strike and were informed when they returned to Edmonton later that day. The remains of the bird were removed from the runway at the 4500 foot marker.
